Tony DeAngelo tied for third among Rangers defensemen in power play assists (six) and power play points (six). Six of his eight assists were primary assists. He recorded three shots on goal in 16:22 of ice time while making his Rang-ers debut on Oct. 5 vs. COL, and tallied his first assist/point as a Ranger by recording a power play assist, and registered two shots on goal in 17:56 of ice time on Oct. 17 vs. PIT. DeAngelo tied for the game-high with four blocked shots, recorded a team-high four hits, and registered two shots on goal in 16:07 of ice time on Jan. 20 at COL. He tallied an assist/point in two consecutive games on Jan. 21 at LAK and Jan. 23 at ANA (two assists).
DeAngelo registered a power play assist and tied for the team-high with two blocked shots in 19:17 of ice time on Jan. 21 at LAK. He tallied an assist, recorded four shots on goal, and was credited with three hits in 16:25 of ice time on Jan. 23 at ANA. He recorded five assists/points over an 11-game span from Feb. 9 vs. CGY to Mar. 2 at CGY; led Rangers defensemen in assists and points during the stretch.
DeAngelo notched an assist and established a single-game career-high with five shots on goal in 21:13 of ice time on Feb. 13 at MIN, and recorded three shots on goal while skating in a single-game career-high 25:53 of ice time on Mar. 10 at FLA.
In the AHL this season, DeAngelo ranked second among Hartford defensemen in points per game (0.45) and was tied for second among team defensemen in points (13) at the time he was recalled by the Rangers on Jan. 19. He tallied a power play assist on Oct. 28 at Lehigh Valley, and posted a six-game point streak from Dec. 8 at Providence to Dec. 22 vs. Providence (two goals, six assists), including a three-game assist streak from Dec. 8 at Providence to Dec. 10 vs. Springfield (four assists). DeAngelo recorded two points (one goal, one assist), including the game-winning goal in overtime, on Dec. 20 at Lehigh Valley.
