Rangers News and Notes

Oscar Lindberg who had surgery on his hip in early May skated yesterday at the Rangers Training Center.

Lindberg said that he is starting to feel pretty good on the ice. He said that his movement is getting better and he is getting stronger and returning the power to his legs.

Henrik Lundqvist won't dress for the first Swedish exhibition game.
Gronberg, the Swedish coach, would not say if Lundqvist will play on Saturday when Sweden again plays Finland.
He added that there is a plan for Lundqvist but he doesn't want to share it right now before adding, again, that he is a "big cornerstone of our team."  The decision is said to have nothing to do with the pain Lundqvist has after taking a shot to the ribs last week.
