NYR TODAY WEDNESDAY MARCH 23: GAME DAY

RANGERS GAME DAY PREVIEW

BOSTON BRUINS (39-26-8) @ NEW YORK RANGERS (41-24-8)
TONIGHT 8:00 PM TV: MSG, NBCSN

Season Series: The Boston Bruins and New York Rangers have each won once on home ice. Bruins forwards Ryan Spooner and David Krejci scored goals 2:03 apart late in the third period for a 4-3 win on Nov. 27 at TD Garden. Rangers forward Jesper Fast scored with 1:42 left in the third and goalie Henrik Lundqvist made 32 saves in a 2-1 win on Jan. 11 at Madison Square Garden.

Rangers Team Scope: Lundqvist will start for New York, coach Alain Vigneault told Newsday. Forward Rick Nash, who had the decisive goal in a 4-2 win Monday against the Florida Panthers for his first point since returning from a bone bruise, took a maintenance day Tuesday. Vigneault said Nash woke up feeling a little sore but is expected to take part in the morning skate Wednesday. Defenseman Dylan McIlrath, who hasn't played since March 6 because of a knee injury, shed his non-contact jersey and practiced in a regular white jersey. Vigneault said McIlrath, who alternated with Dan Boyle on the third pairing with Marc Staal, isn't quite ready to return and New York will use the same defensemen from Monday. "Obviously our guys are healthy right now. I think they're going to roll with that," McIlrath told Newsday.
