1974: The Rangers Acquire Derek Sanderson in from the Boston Bruins in exchange for Walt MacKechnie.
2000: Ron Low becomes the 30th head coach in Rangers history.
Low replaces interm coach John Tortorella (4 games in 2000). Low goes on to Coach only 2 seasons from 2000-2002, coaching 164 games with a record of 69-86-9 in two non-playoff seasons before being let go.
