Coming off a comeback win versus Ottawa on Tuesday the Rangers start a short 2 game road trip tonight in Arizona facing the Coyotes. This is the second and final meeting between the two teams. The first game the Rangers defeated Arizona at MSG 3-2 back in October. The Rangers have defeated Arizona in their last six meetings and in 9 of their last 10.
Antti Raanta is sure to get the start for the Rangers while Henrik Lundqvist battles the flu bug. Raanta has a 3-0-1 record against the Coyotes lifetime with a 1.47 GAA and a save % of .957. He has allowed 2 or fewer goals and made at least 30 saves in 3 of those starts.
Rick Nash traveled with the team to Arizona but did not practice yesterday due to a groin injury.
