The six-foot, 185-pound Swedish forward spent two seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Tri-City Americans prior to going pro in Sweden. He had 32 goals and 61 assists in 130 regular season WHL games. His 25 goals this season ranked him second league-wide in that category, and helped AIK win the league championship. He had a plus-two rating and 26 penalty minutes.
Defenseman Raphael Diaz will be joining the New York Rangers tomorrow for practice. Diaz who just came off the IR recently has 6 goals, 15 assists, 16 PIM and is a plus 11 in 37 games with Rangers AHL Affiliate the Hartford Wolf Pack. Diaz was signed by the Rangers as a free agent on July 1, 2015.
