Rangers forward Rick Nash was named as an alternate captain of the team on Tuesday, joining Dan Girardi, Marc Staal and Derek Stepan along with captain Ryan McDonagh.
Nash recorded 15 goals an 21 assists in 60 games in 2015-16.
