BIOGRAPHY
The key player in the November 1954 trade that sent Allan Stanley to Chicago, Hall of Fame defenseman Bill Gadsby had no problem meeting the expectations of the Rangers and their fans during a stellar seven-year stretch with the team.
Already on his way to Hall of Fame status, Gadsby bolstered his resume in New York by playing in five NHL All-Star Games and earning postseason All-Star honors a remarkable four times — including three selections to the NHL First All-Star Team.

Injury Updates:
Rick Nash skated on his own before the Rangers Optional Practice on Thursday. It was said that Nash skated very hard before his teammates took the ice. Nash has missed 20 consecutive games since January 22nd when the injury occured vs the Carolina Hurricanes.
Henrik Lundqvist also took part in Thursdays optional skate and declared himself ready to play this weekend. Lundqvist stated that he is close to 100% after having missed the last 2 games due to Neck Spasms.
Along with Lundqvist and Nash, goaltender Antti Raanta, defenseman Dan Boyle, and forwards Mats Zuccarello, Chris Kreider, Derek Stepan, Kevin Hayes, Oscar Lindberg and Viktor Stalberg. Marc Staal was not on the ice.

JT Miller said that he wasn't angry about being benched against the Islanders because he felt he was playing like "shit."

Rangers 2015 third-round pick Sergey Zborovskiy picked up a goal Wednesday night in Regina's win over Swift Current in the Western Hockey League. The defenseman, who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 195 pounds, has eight goals and 16 assists for 24 points in 60 games this season. His goals and points are career-highs, while his assist total is tied for his career-best.
Remaining in the WHL, 2015 fourth-rounder Brad Morrison picked up two assists in Prince George's loss to Kelowna. The game was Morrison's second consecutive multi-point game, and he now has 26 goals and 34 assists for 60 points in 68 games, all of which are career-highs.
2015 third-round pick Robin Kovacs scored the Game 5 winner for AIK, who advanced to the final of the Allsvenskan playoffs. Kovacs finished the five-game series with a goal and two assists. The team will now face the last place team from the SHL, with the winner getting promoted to the SHL next season.
