Desharnais tallied an assist/point in two consecutive games on Jan. 16 vs. PHI and Jan. 18 vs. BUF (two assists), and registered a goal and won six of seven faceoffs (85.7%) in 16:24 of ice time on Jan. 21 at LAK, and won five of eight faceoffs (62.5%) while skating in his 500th career NHL game on Jan. 25 at SJS.
Desharnais tallied a goal and led the Rangers with four shots on goal on Feb. 5 at DAL, and notched an assist in two consecutive games on Feb. 9 vs. CGY and Feb. 11 at WPG. He tallied an assist on the game-winning goal, won five of nine faceoffs (55.6%), and posted a plus-two rating on Feb. 11 at WPG., and he registered an assist on the game-winning goal and won seven of 10 faceoffs (70.0%) on Mar. 3 at EDM. He tallied an assist and posted a plus-one rating on Mar. 30 vs. TBL.
