Lundqvist backstops Rangers to 5-0 Victory over St. Louis

Five different Rangers tallied goals tonight including two power play goals. Jimmy Vesey, Dan Girardi, Rick Nash, Mats Zuccarello and Kevin Hayes all notched goals on the scoreboard chasing Blues' goalie Jake Allen from between the pipes.

The Rangers and Blues are tied on their season series and will not face each other again this season unless both teams reach the finals.

Henrik Lundqvist pulled off his first shutout of the season with some spectacular saves totally 36 on the night.

Jimmy Vesey tallied his 6th goal of the season in 10 games, had his first NHL three point game and has registered a multi-point game in three of the last six games.

Captain Ryan McDonagh tallied his 9th assist of the season and became the first #NYR defenseman to post an 8-game assist streak since Brian Leetch from Jan. 3, 1996 – Jan. 31, 1996 (nine games).
The Rangers have now registered at least 40 goals in their first 10 games of a season for the first time since 1992-93.

The Rangers return to action on Thursday November 3rd when they host the Edmonton Oilers at Madison Square Garden, 7:00 PM.
