Tonight the Rangers hos the St Louis Blues, in the teams first meeting the Rangers lost to the Blues 3-2 in St Louis.
The Rangers who are 5-1 at home this season are coming off an offensive explosion in which they beat a thorn in their side Ben Bishop and the Tampa Bay Lightning 6-1 behind a hat-trick effort from newly acquired forward Michael Grabner.
Chris Kreider returns to the Rangers lineup after missing four games witih neck spasms. Kreider, who had three goals and four assists for seven points in five games before being injured, said the spasms began the morning after the team's game in Washington on Oct. 22. He will be playing on a line with Mika Zibanejad and Mats Zuccarello. 2nd year Center Oscar Lindberg is expected to be a healthy scratch.

1959: Andy Bathgate’s wrist shot hits Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jacques Plante in the face, forcing him to leave the ice. Plante returns to the game wearing a mask, and becomes the first goalie in modern-day NHL history to wear one during a game.
2007: Henrik Lundqvist makes 31 saves for his 10th career shutout, and Marc Staal registers his first career point as the Rangers defeat the Washington Capitals, 2-0, at MSG.
