NEW YORK RANGERS POST GAME REPORT

Raanta with help from Special Teams backstops Rangers to 5-2 victory over Bruins

Starting off with a run and gun first period the Bruins tried to match the Rangers speed but came up short even after scoring the games first goal.

The Rangers special teams came up big as the penalty killing unit picked up it's first two short handed goals of the season off the sticks of Derek Stepan (his first of the season) and Kevin Hayes.

The Power Play also cashed in when Pavel Buchnevich tallied his first NHL Goal on the man advantage.

Also notching his first goal of the season was Nick Holden who opened the scoring for the Rangers.

Michael Grabner rounded out the Rangers 5-2 win with his 7th goal of the season and now leads the team in goals.

Goaltender Annti Raanta finished the night with 35 saves playing a fantastic game in net.

No Rest for the Winners as the Rangers return to action tomorrow as they host the Winnipeg Jets at Madison Square Garden, 7:00 PM game time.
