1926: In the first meeting between the Rangers and Boston Bruins, the Blueshirts win, 1-0, in Boston.

1930: The Rangers trade Leo Bourgeault to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for cash considerations.

1941: On Pearl Harbor Day, the Rangers defeat the Boston Bruins, 5-4, at MSG. 

1979: The Rangers travel to Hartford for the first time, and defeat the Whalers, 7-4. 
The victory is the Rangers’ first against the Whalers/Hurricanes franchise.
