RNYRF's GRADING THE RANGERS 2015-2016
VIKTOR STALBERG Left Wing

The Rangers took a chance on the 29 year old winger signing the 6'3" Swede on July 1st of last summer. Stalberg was bought out of his contract by his former team the Nashville Predators after an unproductive 2014-2015 season in which he scored 2 goals and 8 assists in 25 games. The chance the Rangers took paid off with Stalberg who played a more aggressive and sometimes better offensive game splitting his time between the 3rd and 4th lines in 2015-2016. Stalberg ended the season on the 4th line which at times was the best line on the ice. He finished the season with 9 goals, 11 assists for 20 points and was a plus 6 on the season. Stalberg who was signed for 1.1 million last July becomes a UFA as of this July 1st. The Rangers should look into resigning Viktor with most likely a small raise in salary.
