The Vegas Golden Knights selected New York Rangers forward Oscar Lindberg in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft on Wednesday night.
Lindberg, 25 was traded to the Rangers by the Coyotes on May 8, 2011 in exchange for Ethan Werek. He scored his first NHL goal on his first shot of the 2015-16 NHL season on October 7, 2015 vs. Chicago Blackhawks. He has 48 points (21 G, 27 A) in 134 career NHL games.
The 6'1", 202-pounder from Sweden was selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in the second round (57th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
