- On Dan Girardi, "first indication is that it's not broken, just a cut due to the velocity of the shot there. We will know more tomorrow. At this time it just seems like a cut on the thumb."
- "At that time we are down by a goal and you need guys to make big plays and Mac, I thought considering the fact that we were down to 5 defense, made an unbelievable play on the wall to keep that puck in and Zuccy made a great pass to Brass there. That tied it up and then after that we kept pushing, had some good looks and finally got the go ahead goal with a couple of minutes left when Quickie tipped it in."
- "I think we have been playing well for more than three games, I have been saying that we were on the upswing for the last, I wanna say, 6-7 games. Since that Tampa game we have been playing pretty good and played well before against Anaheim in our building. We are taking good steps, it's not easy to come back in this league and not easy against a team that plays so well defensively and the goaltending they have been getting but we found a way to get two points."
- "I think at the end of the day you need your top players to come up big for you and tonight you see Quickie come through, he was in front of the net trying to screen the goalie, both games we have come back from deficits which is not easy to do so it's a very positive sign."
Henrik Lundqvist made 32 saves, including a highlight-reel stop on Max Talbot.
Tuukka Rask had 28 saves in net for Boston.
Jimmy Hayes scored the lone goal for the Bruins.
Derick Brassard scored the Rangers game tying goal :45 seconds into the 3rd period.
Jesper Fast scored on a deflection in front with 1:42 to play in regulation giving New York the 2-1 lead and the win vs Boston.
Dan Girardi left the game 4:46 into the second period after blocking a shot heading to the locker room with Rangers Trainer Jim Ramsey. He did not return to the game due to lacerations to his right hand. No further updates are available at this time from the NY Rangers on the extent of the injury.
