1954: Muzz Patrick becomes the sixth head coach in Rangers history. Patrick would spend four years in New York, going 43-66-27.
1993: The Rangers beat Ottawa, 6-2, in the first meeting between the two teams at Madison Square Garden. Sergei Zubov, Ed Olczyk and Darren Turcotte each pick up two points a piece.
