HARTFORD WOLF PACK REPORT by Alex Pflaum

Its Time for my Hartford Wolf Pack weekly report and boy do I have Good News regarding the Pack this week. Entering this Week the Wolf Pack are currently on a 7 Game Winning Streak which has bumped them up from 11th in the Eastern Conference Last week to all the way to being in the 9th Position and just a few points back of being in the 8th spot in the AHL's Eastern Conference. The Wolf Pack are playing by far their best Hockey of the season and it couldn't be coming at a better time for Hartford.
Weekly Game Recaps from 1/19/16 - 1/24/16
1/20/16 at Albany (NJ) - The Wolf Pack's Winning ways in Overtime countinued on Weds evening at the Times Union Center in Albany NY vs the divison leading Albany Devils by a final score of 3 to 2. The 1st period ended scoreless however Hartford would open the scoring in the 2nd Period thanks to a goal by #13 Nicklas Jensen his 6th of the season. Hartford would make it 2 - 0 on a Goal from #9 Ryan Borque his 9th of the year. Albany would go on to tie the game at 2 - 2 but with just 32.6 seconds to go in OT the Wolf Pack's #16 Chad Nerhing would net his 13th goal of the season for the Wolf Pack's 6th Straight Win. Wolf Pack Goaltender Magnus Hellberg once again preformed well for the Pack making 32 saves on 34 A-Devils shots for the Victory.
1/23/16 at Bridgeport (NYI) - Saturday the Wolf Pack and Sound Tigers were looking forward to another classic clash at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport CT however Mother Nature had other plans. Because of the severe snow storm passing through the Northeastern part of the United States the AHL had no choice but to Postpone the Wolf Pack vs Sound Tigers game for 1/23/16.
1/24/16 vs Portland (FLA) - After the massive Snow Storm finally passed through giving the Wolf Pack the night off the night before the Wolf Pack went back at it on Sunday afternoon hosting the Portland Pirates at the XL Center in Hartford CT. The Wolf Pack were seeking their 7th Straight Win and that's just what they got, The Wolf Pack emerged Victorious over Portland by a final score of 4 - 1 thanks in part to a Goal and an Assist each from #27 Ryan Graves and #19 Luke Adam. #23 Jayson Megna who had just been sent down on Friday by the NY Rangers got a Goal for the Wolf Pack as well. Once again Magnus Hellberg preformed extremely well for the Pack in Net stopping 30 of the Pirates 31 shots for the Pack's 7th Straight Win.

The Wolf Pack are currently playing by far their best Hockey of the Season and are currently on a 7 Game Winning Steak.
Only Time will tell if they can keep this momentum up and clinch a spot in the 2016 Calder Cup Playoffs by Season's End.
