The Prudential Center, Newark, NJ
7:00 PM, MSG Network
Tonight the Rangers open up the 2018 NHL Preseason under the regim of new head coach David Quinn along with new faces joining some old familiar faces in the lineup.
Tonight's game is the first of six preseason contests for the Blueshirts, as the team will play two preseason games each against New Jersey, the NY Islanders, and Philadelphia.
Mika Zibanejad left yesterdays' practice after a collision with prospect defenseman Jeoy Keane. On Mika, Quinn said " he's fine, he just got the wind knocked out of him. He's fine."
"I didn't see it, I was watching the other end and I saw him gliding to the penalty box area and asked him what happened and told me he got the wind knocked out of him and it all worked out."
Tonight's Projected Rangers Lineup:
Goalie: Alex Georgiev, Marek Mazanec
Defense: Marc Staal, Freddy Claesson, Neal Pionk, Rob O'Gara, Tony DeAngelo, Ryan Lindgren
Forwards: Cody McLeod, Kevin Hayes, Jesper Fast, Chris Kreider, Boo Nieves, Cole Schneider, Michael Lindqvist, Steven Fogarty, Lias Andersson, Ville Meskanen, Pavel Buchnevich, Tim Gettinger
