NEW YORK RANGERS GAME DAY PREVIEW
With Series Even Rangers Look to Ride Momentum into Game 5
NEW YORK RANGERS VS OTTAWA SENATORS
Eastern Conference Semi-Finals Game 5 (Series Tied 2-2)
Canadian Tire Centre, Ottawa 3:00 PM, TV: NBCSN, CBC, TVAS RADIO: WEPN 98.7
Coming off two straight 4-1 Wins at Home to even the Second round Series 2-2 the Rangers will look to take that momentum into game 5 as the series shifts to Ottawa.
The Rangers have beaten Ottawa starter Craig Anderson for 13 goals in the first four games and chased him from the crease in game 4 to start the 3rd Period in favor of backup Mike Condon.
The Rangers fourth line of Michael Grabner, Oscar Lindberg and J.T. Miller came alive in games 3 & 4 and were an important part in those victories.
Lindberg and Grabner both have tallied 3 goals each while Glass has a goal and 2 assist in 5 games.
Henrik Lundqvist continues to baffle Ottawa scorers only allowing 2 goals in the 2 previous games. Lundqvist’s only bad showing was in Game two’s overtime loss, giving up 6. Over the four game series he has surrendered a total of 10 goals.
Expect the Rangers lineup to remain the same for game 5 and look for continued rough play to come from Ottawa. Ottawa showed their frustrations in game 4 in the final minutes of play trying to goad the Rangers into altercations.
