Rangers Fall in OT 5-4, Trail Series 3-2
Once again a disapointing game in Ottawa for the second Saturday in a row.
The Rangers took a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Jesper Fast andNick Holden in the first period but wound up giving up 3 Ottawa goals before tying the game with a tip in in front by Ryan McDonagh in the 2nd.
Heading into the 3rd tied 3-3 the Rangers retook the lead 4-3 when Jimmy Vesey scored his first career playoff goal. Ex Ranger Derick Brassard scored the tying goal for Ottawa to send the goal to Overtime in the final minute of regulation.
After having a Michael Grabner goal disallowed for a high stick, The Rangers lost on a Kyle Turris goal to end the game.
Back to MSG for Game 6 on Tuesday.
