How the Rangers Players performed at the IIHF World Championships


Team Sweden
Henrik Lundqvist stopped 19 of 21 shots on goal to pick up the Win for Sweden yesterday 4-2 over Denmark.

Lundqvist admitted his timing was off yesterday but added "It was a good test for me"

Late in the 2nd period there was a scare as Denmark's Mikkel Aagard collided with Lundqvist sending the Rangers netminder reeling and seemingly striking him in the head and also crashing into the goal post. No penalty was called on the play and Lundqvist continued on to finish the game but allowing the 2 Denmark goals in the 3rd.

Team Denmark:
Wolf Pack's Nicklas Jensen logged in 25:09 of ice time, had 1 shot on goal and had no points in the loss to Sweden.

Oscar Lindberg logged in 15:49 of ice time, had an assist, 1 shot on goal and was a plus 2 for the game. Lindberg was on a line with Michael Nylander and Nicklas Backstrom. His assist was a primary on nylander's first goal of the game.

Team USA:
Kevin Hayes picked up two points in USA's 6-1 win over Slovakia. With 2 assists, won 3 of 4 faceoffs, plus 3 for the game and 16:36 of ice time was named the player of the game. Hayes centered a line with former college teammate Johnny Gaudreau and Nick Bjustad.

Brady Skjei, paired with Charlie McAvoy logged in 12:56 of ice time, picked up n assist on the game's first goal, had 2 shots on goal and was a plus 4.
