The Rangers scored 3 unanswered goals in the third period to defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets. Michael Grabner picked up 2 goals and an assist including the game winner and Adam Clendening added two goals of his own in the comeback victory.
In what looked to be a rough night for the Rangers since the begining of the game when Columbus took a 2-0 lead in just under 5 minutes into the game the Rangers were able to get a goal from Oscar Lindberg, his first of the season to head into the locker room only down by two.
In the second period Columbus struck first and took a 3-1 lead until Michael Grabner scored his 17th of the season and the Rangers went to intermission only down by 2 again.
The Third Period was all Rangers with Clendening cashing in on the power play to bring the Rangers within one and then scoring again just over 10 minutes later to tie the game. Grabner added the game winner with just 16 seconds remaining.
Henrik Lundqvist who looked shakey early on held his own and came up with 33 saves on 37 shots on goal.
The Rangers now head into their 5 day bye week and return to action on Friday January 13th at 7:00 PM as they host the Maple Leafs.
