On a night that was surely a must win for the Rangers they responded tallying 5 goals and ending a 3 game losing skid. Michael Grabner picked up his 20th & 21st goals on the season and continues to lead the team in that department.
The Rangers took the lead in the first period on Brady Skjei's second of the season and again retook the lead 2-1 when Pavel Buchnevich burried a rebound past Toronto's Andersen. The Rangers and Leafs traded goals in the second period, the Rangers coming from J.T. Miller and headed into Intermission leading 3-2.
The 3rd and final period was the Michael Grabner show picking up a goal on a short handed feed from Kevin Hayes and added an empty net goal to finish the night.
Mats Zuccarello picked up his team leading 28th assist on the season and ranks second in the NHL in even strength assists this season with 23, two behind Edmonton's Connor McDavid.
J.T. Miller extended his point streak to 11 games as has Kevin Hayes.
Brady Skjei ranks third among NHL rookie defensemen in points this season (19; two goals, 17 assists).
Henrik Lundqvist faced 28 Toronto shots, stopping 26. Lundvist looked sharp after surrendering 7 goals against Dallas on Tuesday.
The Rangers are now off until Sunday when they face the Red Wings in Detroit in a Sunday Matinee game, puck drop 12:30 pm.
