NY RANGERS POST GAME REPORT: RANGERS VS MAPLE LEAFS 1/13

Rangers fall to Maple Leafs 4-2 

In what started out as a very emotional night Honoring recently deceased NYPD Detective Steven McDonald, the Rangers special teams failed them tonight as they went 0 fr 6 on the power play and gave up 2 power play goal to Toronto.

The Rangers were only able to take advantage with two goals of their own by Chris Kreider and J.T. Miller on 36 shots on goal tonight while at their own end of the ice Henrik Lundqvist who made some superb saves gave up four goals on just 27 shots by the Leafs.

The returning Rick Nash and Pavel buchnevich couldn't sway the momentum for the Rangers who looked "flat" most of the game. At many times the team looked as though they were "feeling" each other out as if the chemistry just wasn't there.

The Rangers return to action again tomorrow night in Montreal taking on the Canadiens. The Rangers are 7-0-0 in the 2nd of back to back games this season.
