Henrik Lundqvist gets the nod in net for the Rangers tonight as they take on the Philadelphia Flyers for the first of two games this preseason. Lundqvist is expected to play the entire game for New York. Backup Ondrej Pavelec will start and is slated to play the entire game on Tuesday in Philly.
The Rangers will look to go 3-0 at home this preseason, defeating the Islanders 1-0 and New Jersey 4-3, both overtime wins. Prospect Neal Pionk scored the game winner vs the Islanders last Monday while fellow prospect Filip Chytil scored the deciding goal against the Devils. The Rangers have dropped both road games to the Isles and Devils by the score of 2-1.
