RANGERS VS ISLANDERS POST GAME WRAP UP 9/22

RANGERS FALL TO ISLES 2-1

Although the Rangers played a solid, fast skating game last night in Bridgeport they were unable to solve the Islanders’ Halak in net. Only Vinny Lattieri was able to find the back of the goal with a power play goal in the second period.

Both Ondreji Pavelec and Chris Nell looked good in goal for the Rangers while rookie prospects Filip Chytil and Neal Pionk both impressed once again.

PTO tryout Bobby Farnham once again was a speedy and pesky force for the Rangers irritating the Isles defenders and drawing a few penalties against the home team.

Young D-Man Tony DeAngelo played another solid game making smart passes and playing point on the power play. Tony D brings some grit to the Rangers Blueline that seems to have been missing for the past few years.

Even though they came out on the losing side the Blueshirts with a mix of young and veteran players looked fast and composed.

The Rangers and Isles split the preseason with one win a piece.
