Rangers look to close out series vs Montreal at Home

NEW YORK RANGERS vs MONTREAL CANADIENS EASTERN CONFERENCE QUARTER FINALS GAME 6
Madison Square Garden, NYC 8:00 PM, TV: NBC, CBC, TVA Sports RADIO: 98.7 WEPN

Game 6 shifts to Madison Square Garden tonight as the Rangers will look to close out their series with the Canadiens and head to the Eastern Conference Semi Finals.

Hoping to carry over momentum from Thursday's overtime win in montreal the Rangers know they will be facing a desperate Canadiens team tonight facing elimination. Most of the players on the Rangers have commented that they are going into tonight's contest looking at the game as a "Game 7" situation not wanting the series to head back to Montreal with the momentum in favor of the Habs.

The Rangers did not hold a practice on Friday so expect the lineup to remain the same as the two previous games.

Game 5 showed the continued solid play of Henrik Lundqvist, Rick Nash and Ryan McDonagh along with the "resurgence" of Mika Zibanejad, Chris Kreider and rookie Pavel Buchnevich as a compatible force on the ice for the Rangers. Zibanejad scored the game winning overtime goal for New York, Chris Kreider tallied the prime assist on the goal. Buchnevich has been adding a touch of spark since replacing Tanner Glass in the lineup in Game 4.

In 5 Games Henrik Lundqvist has 3 wins with a GAA of 1.82 and a Save % of .944
