NYR TODAY FRIDAY 10/19: Alumni Birthday, Today in Rangers History

NYR Alumni Birthday 10/19:

Zdeno Ciger LW (2001-2002)

Today in NYR History 10/19:

1931: Rangers trade Frank Peters to the Detroit Olympics (Red Wings) in exchange for cash considerations.

1988: Brian Mullen records his only hat trick as a Ranger.
Brian Lawton adds a goal and two assists as the Rangers defeat the Washington Capitals, 5-1, at MSG.

2014: Martin St Louis and Rick Nash score goals four seconds apart in the final minute of the second period during the New York Rangers' 4-0 victory against San Jose at Madison Square Garden.
They are the fastest two non-empty-net goals scored by one team in an NHL game since Dec. 15, 1995, when Deron Quint gets two in four seconds for the Winnipeg Jets against the Oilers.
