1947: Rangers acquire Roy Conacher to the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for Ed Slowinski but trade is voided when Conacher refused to report to Rangers.


1949: Rangers trade rights to sign Bud Polie to the Boston Bruins in exchange for cash considerations.


1966: Rod Gilbert tallies the first hat trick of his NHL career in a 4-4 tie with the Toronto Maple Leafs.


1967: The Rangers play the Pittsburgh Penguins for the first time, and win, 6-4, at MSG. Vic Hadfield tallied three points (one goal, two assists).
