Today in NYR History 10/29:


1990: The Rangers extend their winning streak against the Quebec Nordiques to five games with a 5-0 shutout victory at MSG. 
Brian Leetch tallies a goal and an assist and John Vanbiesbrouck makes 22 saves to record the shutout.


1992: Mike Richter ties a franchise goaltending record with two assists against the Quebec Nordiques.


2001: Theo Fleury of the New York Rangers joins the NHL's 1,000-point club.
Fleury tallies two assists in a 4-2 victory against the Dallas Stars at Madison Square Garden.
The assists come on goals by Mike York; the second one starts a burst of three goals in less than five minutes late in the second period by the Rangers.
