NYR TODAY TUESDAY 4/26; Skjei, Alumni, TDNYRH

SKJEI NAMED TO US NATIONAL TEAM

On Monday New York Rangers Defenseman Brady Skjei was added to the United States Men's National Team Roster and will compete in the IHF World Championships tournament from May 6th to May 22nd in Moscow.
Skjei the Rangers' first round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft appeared in 7 regular season games and all 5 Eastern Conference Quarter Final games for the Rangers this season. The rookie D-Man was a +1 in the regular season but held without a point, in the first round of the playoffs he tallied 2 assists in 5 games played.

Skjei played for the U.S. National Development Team of the USHL from 2010-2012 posting 4 goals, 14 assists for 18 points, 26 penalty minutes and was a minus 9 in 50 games played. He has also represented the United States twice before in tournament play in the Under 18 tournament in 2012 and the World Junior Championships in 2013.

2012: The Rangers defeat the Ottawa Senators, 2-1, in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final behind goals from Dan Girardi and Marc Staal. It's the first Game 7 win since 1994.
