RANGERS VS PENGUINS POST GAME RECAP ECQF GAME 4

Rangers Blanked by Pens 5-0 in Game 4, Trail Series 3-1

Just a dismal display of hockey by the home team New York Rangers in Game four of the ECQF.
Three first period goals by Fehr, Hornqvist and Sheary along with a second period goal just 4:00 into the middle frame by Malkin chased Henrik Lundqvist to the bench after 18 shots on goal. Malkin also added a power play goal in the 3rd Period to give the Pens a 5-0 lead. Not much to say about the Rangers play in game 4 except for the lack of during all 3 periods.

For some reason the Rangers just couldn't put anything together whether it being 5 on 5 or the power play. The penalty kill for the Rangers just let them down just as bad giving up 3 power play goals to Pittsburgh on 6 attempts. The Rangers power play didn't fair much better going 0 for 4 on the night with only a handful of shots on goal during those man advantages.

The Series now shifts back to Pittsburgh on Saturday with the Ranger down 3 games to 1.
