NEW YORK RANGERS POST GAME WRAP UP: RANGERS VS AVALANCHE 2/11

Rangers top Avalanche 4-2 for 5th Win in a Row

Henrik Lundqvist made 32 saves to cinch his 400th career win and move into 12th place on the all time wins list. Lundqvist is also the fastest goaltender to earn 400 wins (727 games).

The Rangers came out shooting in the first period taking a 1-0 lead off a slapshot by defenseman Kevin Klein. The Rangers lost the lead with only 15 seconds remaining in the opening period then lost the lead in the second period 2-1. It seemed as though the Rangers just couldn't pick up any momentum even going 0-3 on the power play.

Heading into the third down 2-1 Kevin klein struck again banging one in off the post past Colorado gaoltender Pickard to tie the game. A few minutes later after a questionable no goal call against the Rangers Rick Nash cashed in to put them on top 3-2. Kevin Hayes added an empty net goal to seal the Rangers win 4-2.

The Rangers return to action on Monday in Coloumbus taking on the Blue Jackets.
