Today the 20th Annual Traverse City Prospects Tournament begins. The Rangers and Satrs Prospects will face off in today's 3rd of four games tonight at 7:00 PM in David's Rink.
At yesterday's practice the Rangers went with the forward combinations of Prospects lines today: Filip Chytil between Gabriel Fontaine and Ville Meskanen. Lias Andersson with Michael Lindqvist and Jakob Stukel ( free agent invite). Brett Howden between Tim Gettinger and Ty Ronning. The defense pairs rounded out the lineup with Keane paired with Ryan Lindgren, Nico Gross with Sean Day and Brandon Crawley with Libor Hajek. The Rangers are carrying two goaltenders going into the game with prospect Chris Nell and free agent invite Jeremy Brodeur.
The Rangers will face the Minnesota Wild tomorrow again at David's Rink, 6:30 PM, Monday against the hosting Detroit Red WIngs at West Rink, 4:00 PM. The tournament will end on Tuesday with teams yet to be determined as the tornament's 7th place spot game between the 4th place Howe Division faces the 4th place Lindsay Division takes place at 3:00 PM. The 3rd place Howe and 3rd place Lindsay will face off at 3:30 for the 5th place tourney spot, 2nd place Howe vs 2nd place Lindsay at 6:30 PM for the 3rd place spot and the Championship game will be determined as the 1st place Howe division hosts the 1st place Lindsay division for all of the marbles.
