RANGERS VS FLYERS PRESEASON GAME DAY PREVIEW 9/19

RANGERS TAKE ON PHILLY AT MSG IN PRESEASON MATCH UP

New York Rangers (1-0) vs Philadelphia Flyers (1-1)

The Rangers come into tonight's contest after after a 4-3 overtime win in New Jersey on Monday. Lias Andersson tallied two special team goals with a short hand and a power play tally on Monday. Pavel Buchnevich picked up two points in the contest with a goal and an assist. Kevin Hayes had a two assist night.

Philadelphia comes in having played in three consecutive split squad contests with the Islanders on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The Flyers were shutout in the preseason opener 3-0, defeated the Isles on home ice 3-1 Tuesday and again defeated the Islanders 5-1 last night.

The Rangers will be withut the services of center Boo Nieves who has been diagnosed with a concussion and is undergoig protocol after a head to head collision in Monday's game against New Jersey.

Henrik Ludqvist is expected to get the start tonight and play the first half of the game, free agent signee Dustin Tokarski will finish the game for the Rangers in net.
