TRAVERSE CITY UPDATE: Rangers fall to Stars 7-5, Face Wild Tonight



RANGERS PROSPECTS FALL TO STARS 7-5
Despite a 5 goal production and going 3 for 5 on the power play the Rangers found themselves on the losing end against Dallas surrendering four unanswered goals in the third period.

The lines the Rangers used to start the game were: Gabriel Fontaine, Filip Chytil, Ville Meskanen - Micheal Lindqvist, Lias Andersson,Jakob Stukel -Tim Gettinger, Brett Howden, Ty Ronning - Dawson Leedahl, Drew Melanson, Jason Salvaggio.

On defense the Rangers went with the pairings of:  Libor Hajek, Brandon Crawley - Ryan Lindgren, Joey Keane and Sean Day, Nico Gross

Chris Nell started and finished the game in goal.

Michael Lindqvist (1goal, 1 assist), Lias Andersson (1goal, 1 assist) and Brett Howden (2 assists) led the Blueshirt rookies in scoring. Ville Meskenan tallied the game's opening goal on the power play, Libor Hajek and Jakob Stukel each tallied a power play goal. Filip Chytil, Ty Ronning and Joey Keane all picked up assists in the contest.


Tonight the Rangers face off against the Minnesota Wild at 6:30 PM once again at David's Rink. No lineup or starting goaltenders have yet been announced for the contest.

Minnesota came out on the winning side of their opener against the hosting Detroit Red Wings, 4-2.
