The Rangers acquire Jeff Beukeboom from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for David Shaw.
2005:Jaromir Jagr records a hat trick in a 6-1 Rangers victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
2007: Mark Messier is inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
2015: Henrik Lundqvist defeats the St. Louis Blues for the first time in his career.
Lundqvist becomes the first Rangers goaltender to defeat each of the Rangers' 29 current opponents.
