RANGERS FINISH BACK TO BACK SET IN COLUMBUS

New York Rangers (7-7-2) vs Columbus Blue Jackets (9-6-1)

The Rangers finish their two game road trip and a back to back set tonight in Columbus coming off a disappointing 3-2 overtime loss to the Detroit Red Wings last night.

The Rangers will be once again be without Mats Zuccarello who did not make the trip due to a groin injury.

Should be interesting to see if Pavel Buchnevich who has been in coach Quinn's doghouse as of late remains in the lineup after taking a late third period penalty with less than two minutes remaining just after the Red Wings had tied the game. A shot of the Rangers bench a a visually upset Quinn was shown.

Alexandar Georgiev has been announced as the Rangers starter for tonight's game.

Columbus (9-6-1) comes in having won three of their last five games and riding a 2-1 win over the Washington Capitals last night in DC. Artemi Panarin leads the Jackets in Points with 17 and in assists with 12. Josh Anderson leads the team with 7 goals on the season.

This is the first of four games between the Metro Division rivals this season and the first of two in Columbus. The Rangers lost the season series last year 3 games to 1. The All Time Series between the Rangers and and Jackets in Columbus is tied 9-9-0.
