1988: The Rangers Acquire Curt Giles, Tony McKegney and the 1988 2nd round pick (#22-Troy Mallette) from the Minnesota North Stars in exchange for Bob Brooke and the 1988 4th round pick (#64-Jeffrey Stolp).
1993: Mike Richter records his fifth career shutout.
Richter makes 21 saves in a 2-0 win over the Washington Capitals. The victory is the Rangers’ seventh in a row.
1996: The Rangers acquire Brian Noonan from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for Sergio Momesso.
