The Rangers announced today that forward Mats Zuccarello is day-to-day with a strained groin.
Zuccarello will not travel with the team on their upcoming road trip to Detroit and Columbus. He played a season-low 14:53 during Tuesday's game against the Montreal Canadiens after averaging 17 plus minutes over the first 14 games.
Zuccarello 3 goals and 7 assits for 10 points fro the Rangers this season.
Rangers Assign Boo Nieves to Hartford
New York Rangers General Manager Jeff Gorton announced today that the team has assigned Boo Nieves to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.
Nieves who has been undergoing concussion protocol since the Rangers preseason has yet to play in the 2018-2019 campaign.
Last season he split his time between New York and Hartford registering one goal and eight assists for nine points, along with a plus-six rating in 28 games with the Rangers.
In Hartford, Nieves established AHL career-highs in goals, assists, and points with 8 goals and 13 assists for 21 points.
