New York Rangers Prospect Developmental Camp Notes:Swedes Shine in Scrimmage
With 2 days left in the NYRPDC Both 21 year old Matt Stromwall and 19 year old Robin Kovacas both from Sweden scored a pair of goals each for the "White" Team in a losing effort to the "Blue" Team 8-5. Stromwall signed as a free agent in April of this year and Kovacas a NYR 3rd round draft choice in 2015 were teammates on AK in Sweden.
Stromwall will be playing his first season in North America in Harford with the Wolf Pack while Kovacas will return to Sweden for at least another year and hopefully return to play in North America for the 2017-2018 season.
NYR NOTES:
The Rangers are reportedly in discussions with pending UFA winger Viktor Stalberg to keep him from becoming a free agent on Friday.

1976: The Rangers acquire Nick Fotiu from the New England Whalers (WHA) in exchange for cash and an agreement to play two future preseason games against the Whalers.
2009: The Rangers acquire Chris Higgins, Ryan McDonagh, Pavel Valentenko and Doug Janik in exchange for Scott Gomez, Tom Pyatt and Mike Busto.
