1994: The Rangers defeat the Vancouver Canucks, 3-2, in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final to snap a 54-year championship drought. Brian Leetch becomes the first American-born player to win the Conn Smythe Trophy is Playoff MVP, while Mark Messier becomes the first player to captain two different organizations to Stanley Cup championships.
