Rangers select Timothy Getting at No. 141 overall

BUFFALO, NY – The New York Rangers selected forward Timothy Gettinger with the 141st overall pick in the second day of the 2016 NHL Draft on Saturday.

In 60 games with the OHL's Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in 2015-16, Gettinger posted 17 goals and 22 assists for 39 points, 32 penalty minutes, and a -4 rating. In 12 playoff games, he posted one goal and three assists for four points, along with a -8 rating.


Gettinger was drafted in the 3rd round (49 overall) by the Greyhounds in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection.


Gettinger is a former temmate of Rangers prospect Brandon Halverson.
