Lapierre split the 2015-2016 season with MODO Hockey Ornskoldsvik of the Swedish Hockey League and Lugano of the Swiss A League where he posted 10 goals and 13 assists in 40 games may get his chance to return to the NHL as it has been reported that the Rangers have invited him to their 2016-2017 training camp on a PTO.
A veteran of 614 NHL Career games with Montreal, Vancouver, Anaheim, St Louis and Pittsburgh Lapierre is known for his pesky play and penalty killing. During his 11 year NHL run, the 31 year old center has tallied 65 goals and 75 assists for 139 points in 614 regular season games.
