The Rangers have 43 contracts out of their maximum of 50 signed
With the recent signings the Rangers only have one RFA to sign in Marek Hrivik. Depending on how the roster shapes out they have somewhere between 3 and 4 million left in cap space.
Questions still surround whether or not the Rangers are done making moves this off season. There are still rumors around Kevin Shattenkirk trying to get his agent to work a way for him to come to New York where he is said to be willing to take a salary discount to play. Rick Nash's name is still popping up as a trade situation but the Rangers have still not received any legitimate offers but now do have cap room to keep part of his salary in a trade. With touted NHL prospect Jimmy Vessey's free agency looming the Rangers are said to be on his short list as a favorite and the Rangers are interested. So stay tuned Rangers Fans there may be more to come before the 90th season in New York begins.
