1953: Rangers acquire Johnny Bower and Eldred Kobussen from Cleveland in the AHL in exchange for Emile Francis, Neil Strain, and cash. Bower would go 29-31-10 in appearing in all 70 games for the Rangers in 1953-54. It would be his only full season with the Rangers before 12 with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
