RANGERS LOOK FOR WESTERN CANADA SWEEP IN EDMONTON

Coming off a 3-1 win over the Calgary Flames on Friday the Rangers will finish a Western Canada Road Trip that started in Vancouver and ends tonight in Edmonton. The Rangers are 2-0 with wins over Vancouver 6-5 in overtime and last night in Calgary.
This is the second and final meeting between the Rangers and Oilers. New York took the first contest at MSG on November 11l 4-1 defeating an old friend, Goaltender Cam Talbot. Pavel Buchnevich tallied a goal in the contest while Henrik Lundqvist stopped 29 of 30 shots.
Rookie Goaltender Alexandar Georgiev gets the start tonight for the Rangers. after facing 106 shots and stopping 100 of those, Henrik Lundqvist gets a much needed rest before heading back East.
While mainstay center Kevin Hayes is putting up good numbers with 3 goals on the road trip. Ryan Spooner is hot right now tallying 6 assists and 1 goal in his first 3 games as a Ranger. Vladislav Namestnikov has put up a goal and an assist in his first two games.
Edmonton comes into the game in sixth place in the Pacific and have lost their last two games to San Jose and Nashville. The Oilers have won 3 of their last five games. Connor McDavid leads the team with 48 assists & 9 goals for 77 points.
