TODAY IN NYR HISTORY January 27
2007: Defenseman Dan Girardi makes his NHL debut against the Philadelphia Flyers.

1/19: Rangers defeat Canucks in Overtime 3-2. Outshoot Vancouver 49-20
Rangers goals scored by Derek Stepan, Mats Zuccarello & Overtime winning goal by J.T. Miller
1/21: NY Rangers sign forward Daniel Paille and assign him uniform #12
Paille, 31, had been skating this season with the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL, Chicago's AHL team, and has 1 goal and 3 assists in 31 games.
1/22: Rangers confirm that forward Chris Kreider is day to day with neck spasms due a collision he had with Radim Vrbata on Tuesday against the Canucks. 
1/22: NY Rangers announce that Daniel Paille will make his NY Rangers debut vs Carolina Hurricanes in place of the injured Chris Kreider along side of Dominic Moore and Tanner Glass on the 4th line.
1?23: J.T. Miller scored twice in the second period and Henrik Lundqvist made 30 saves to lead the New York Rangers to a 4-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes.
Rick Nash went awkwardly into the boards early in the third period, he left the ice with Rangers trainer Jim Ramsay without putting much weight or pressure on his left leg. Nash returned to the Rangers bench with 12:29 left in the third period he played two shifts in the third after returning for a total of 2:19. He didn't take another shift after blocking a shot on the PK with 7:39 remaining.
1/24: NY Rangers annouced Rick Nash would not play for the Rangers against the Senators in Ottawa. Alain Vigneault said that Nash is day to day and that he expects him to play tomorrow against Buffalo.
1/24: Rangers blanked by the Ottawa Senators in Ottawa 3-0. Rangers win streak ends at 2 games. In the contest Henrik Lundqvist made 31 saves for the Rangers.
1/25: Rangers announce that Rick Nash is day to day and will not play against the Buffalo Sabres. Nash received an MRI revealing that he had bone bruises from the blocked shot during the Carolina game.
Head Coach Alain Vigneault announces that Defenseman Dan Boyle will be a healthy scratch and rookie Dylan McIlrath will replace him in the lineup.
1/25: Derick Brassard's five points leads Rangers past Sabres, 6-3. Despite a defensive lapse in the 3rd period allowing Buffalo 2 goals in a span of 1:30 the Rangers rallied back to score 3 unanswered gaols for the win. Rangers goals scored by Derick Brassard (2), JT Miller, Dylan McIlrath, Derek Stepan and Viktor Stalberg.
