Defenseman Ryan Graves was named to the American Hockey League All-Star Classic Thursday as the sole representative from the Hartford Wolf Pack.

The 2013 fourth-round pick has three goals and eight assists for 11 points in 34 games this season, his first in professional hockey.

Graves leads Wolf Pack defenders in goals, and is one of just two rookies selected from the Eastern Conference.

Pavel Buchnevich registered his first point — an assist — for SKA of the KHL in the team's win over Vityaz on Wednesday. The assist was Buchnevich's first point in four games with his new squad, and now gives him 12 goals and 18 assists for 30 points in 44 games this year between SKA and Severstal.

Goaltender Igor Shesterkin picked up his fifth win with SKA, making 23 saves to remain perfect this season in the KHL. Shesterkin is 5-0 with a .925 save percentage and a 2.18 goals against average with one shutout.


Over in the Ontario Hockey League, 2014 pick Ryan Mantha picked up a goal and an assist abd six shots on goal for the Niagara IceDogs in their win over Hamilton Wednesday night. The defenseman has four goals and 13 assists for 17 points in 34 games. He's been hot as of late, riding a four-game point streak with back-to-back two-point performances.

In the Western Hockey League, 2015 pick Brad Morrison picked up an assist and netted the shootout-winner in Prince George's 4-3 win over Kamloops. Morrison has 14 goals and 18 assists for 32 points in 40 games this season.

Prospect Aleksi Saarela picked up an assist on Finland's overtime-winning goal to capture the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship. Saarela finished the tournament with four goals and seven points in seven games.

Goaltender Brandon Halverson and Team USA captured the Bronze Medla earlier in the day, defeating Sweden 8-3. Halverson appeared in two games for Te
